This is what some of our riders had to say after the event…
Just wanted to say that Saturday’s ride was an absolute blast! Of all the races/organized rides I have done around the world that was probably the most enjoyable and the most well run event I have ever done. The 200k route was great – some real challenges in the rolling terrain and beautiful scenery, a great way for a foreigner like me to enjoy Northern Michigan. I had carried a ton of food as this was my first MMM experience and I thought the food stations would be like a normal ride with some gatorade and goo gels or something – I didn’t in my wildest dreams expect the smorgasbord of delicious treats that were on offer – who would have thought a handful of strawberries and cheese sticks could be so magical. I must have had at least 50 of those little chocolate chip cookies and over half a watermelon. And whoever thought of delivered pizza at the finish – genius. The support and optimism from the volunteers at the stops was amazing, and meeting new friends out on the road and everyone encouraging each other was pretty special – hats off for putting together such a good day.

Thanks for putting together a truly challenging route. I’ve done Horribly Hilly Hundreds, Dairyland Dare, Six Gap, etc. and it is right up there. I had ridden with our club (Michiana Bicycle Association) in the Petoskey area and didn’t think the hills were as tough as those in Wisconsin, but you found the ones our club probably try to avoid (we have people who don’t like hills, imagine that). The “Wall” definitely lived up to the billing.
-Chris Vanden Bossche, South Bend Indiana
I wanted to tell you that the MMM race was awesome! It was my first time and I did the 200K. Goal next year, beat my time and not walk the WALL! Thanks again.
-Randy Zeeman, Alpena Michigan
This was the best MMM ever. Great job! My friends and I are still gushing over on how much fun we had.
-Curt Peterson, Traverse City Michigan
I have to bow to you guys. This was my first time doing this ride. You guys did a wonderful job of running the event. The staff @ the stops were absolutely the best. Can’t wait to go at it again next year.
-Dan Spangler, New Boston Michigan
Thanks to you and to all volunteers for putting together this year’s awesome MMM event: outstanding organization, friendly volunteers, good food (protein at 104 miles helped finish strong despite the heat under the sun), beautiful route clean of debris, good workout uphill before heading to France to ride the July 14th queen stage of the Tour in the Pyrenean Mountains. The MMM was well worth the drive from the Detroit area.
-Emmanuel Boudon, Troy Michigan
I had signed up last year but was unable to go, but I got to go this year and what a great ride. Great people at the food stops and great food too. Well marked route {100k} and great hills. I live here and knew of some but not all. Once again thanks for a great ride.
-Bill Bechek, Petoskey Michigan
This was my third MMM and, as always, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Perhaps even more so this year, given how you managed to get the weather to clear up just in time. Very impressive.
-Tom DiJulio, Grosse Pointe Park Michigan
Just wanted to take a moment to comment on this years event. I rode to 200K and many many miles in preparation for it. I have to tell you that the ride, from my perspective was superb. From the route markings to the folks at every contact point to the fact that you guys had spare tubes on a day when “flat” was the word. It was a pleasure to be a part of such a finely organized adventure. The ride lives up to its name. “Pure Michigan.” Thank you for your efforts and thanks to all those in your organization.

Best run biking event in the State of Michigan bar none! You once again put on one class act. “Mayhem” is the best and I will be back again next year for sure! Thanks to all!
